Mr. Mohamed Ismail Aly, Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, MB Bch(Hons) MSc MRCS(Ed) MD(Res) FRCSEd(Plast).
Mr. Aly is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon (sub-specialty interests include; burns/ skin cancer/ laser/ complex wound care/general reconstructive surgery and Paediatric plastic surgery) based at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Wyhthenshawe Hospital in Manchester, UK. He is on the specialist register for Plastic Surgery having completed all the required training to be appointed as Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the NHS.
He trained as a specialist registrar in plastic surgery in the North East of England in Newcastle upon Tyne, Middlesbrough, and Durham. His early training in plastic surgery took place in London, Chelmsford, Stevenage, and Bristol. He completed a critical care and burn surgery fellowship at the Shriners Hospital for children and University of Texas medical branch Galveston, Texas, USA under the tutelage of the world leading burn surgeon – Dr. David Herndon.
Mr. Aly completed an MSc in Aesthetic Surgery at Queen Mary University in 2013 and a BTEC award Laser and Light Associated Therapies in Oct 2008. He is fully proficient in the most appropriate and latest cosmetic surgery and laser techniques for body and facial rejuvenation. He also has an MSc in Surgical Science, 2000 successfully completed during his early surgical training.
Mr. Aly has honed his skills even further by completing training courses and visiting fellowships at University Texas South Western, Dallas, USA and Akademikliniken, Stockholm, Sweden, learning groundbreaking techniques and procedures used by some of the world’s best plastic surgeons.
Mr. Aly has more than 15 years’ experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery with clinical interests in burns, skin cancer, laser, reconstructive surgery including free tissue transfer, complex wound care and general pediatric plastic surgery. He has performed thousands of surgical procedures, including aesthetic and cosmetic procedures.
Mr. Aly has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals in plastic surgery and presented at scientific meetings on many occasions.
Mr. Aly is also fluent and articulate in both English, Arabic, and French.
